HIPPO WAS ADOPTED BY HIS FOSTER FAMILY!

Joined Dog Squad on 2/19/24

How It Started

Meet the newest Squad Foster, Hippo! He’s a chunky monkey with a heart as big as his smile.

The property manager at the Polo Apartments found this lovable boy abandoned and tied up outside the dog park. Without hesitation, he was taken to Sugar Creek Animal Hospital, but no microchip was found. In our quest to find a temporary home for him, we were touched by the overwhelming support from our community. We are immensely grateful for Krista Brown who offered to open her home to Hippo on such short notice!

Not much is known about Hippo’s past. He's an unaltered male, likely under 2 years old—judging by his pearly white teeth. He’s a bundle of joy, eager for snuggles and love. Hippo is a dream on a leash and shows a gentle demeanor around children, making him a perfect family companion.

It's clear from his well-fed appearance and freshly trimmed nails that he's been cared for. Now, he's ready for a new chapter. Hippo is all set for his neuter next Monday 2/26/24. He will also receive updated vaccinations and a heartworm test.

Hippo needs your help covering the cost of his procedure next week! The estimate offered by Mountain View Veterinary Services is attached for $259. As a private registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, we rely 100% on donations from community members like you. We do not receive assistance from any local or federal governmental agencies. We cannot do what we do without your support. All donations are tax-deductible.
